Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year (新年xīn nián) is also known as the Spring Festival (春节chūn jié), has more than 4,000 years of history. Being one of the traditional Chinese festivals, it is the most important festival in China!

The Laba Festival
is also regarded as a prelude to the Spring Festival, or the Chinese New Year, as there are only three weeks left before its coming.

腊八粥 là bā zhōu-Laba congee
The Laba congee  is regardsed as a nutritious winter food because it contains amino acids, protein, vitamins and other nutrition people need.

祭灶 jì zào- Worship the Kitchen God
Special food for the Kitchen God.
A paper image is burnt dispatching the god’s spirit to Heaven to report on the family’s conduct over the past year.
