Beijing winters are cold (average -8°C to 5°C) but all our classrooms and accommodations are well-heated (23°C). Bring warm clothes including a winter coat, gloves, and scarf. Many students enjoy shopping for affordable winter gear in Beijing’s markets as a fun first-day activity!

Absolutely! We have dedicated beginner classes starting from zero. Our proven teaching methods help beginners achieve conversational ability in just 1-2 weeks. You’ll be ordering food in Chinese by day 3!

We accommodate all dietary needs including halal, vegetarian, vegan, and allergy requirements. Beijing has excellent halal restaurants, and our partner establishments are briefed on dietary restrictions. Just let us know your requirements during application.

Winter classes are intentionally small with only 4-6 students maximum (1:6 teacher ratio). This ensures personalized attention and maximum speaking practice. Compare this to 10-15 students in typical summer programs!

It’s the BEST time! While some businesses close, our program continues with special festival activities. You’ll experience authentic traditions, family dinners, temple fairs, and cultural events that are impossible to experience at other times of the year.

Yes! Many students extend once they experience the program. You can extend week by week, and we’ll help with any visa extensions if needed. Winter extension rates are particularly attractive.

All programs include calligraphy, paper cutting, dumpling making, tea ceremony, and local market visits. Weekend excursions to major sites like the Great Wall and Forbidden City are included in homestay/hotel packages. Additional activities like skiing or special workshops can be arranged.
